A Little Knight Music, Delray Beach — Ted Knight at the piano. Although he's often found leading bands of eight pieces or more, he still enjoys tickling the ivories whenever the opportunity presents itself. It can be a cocktail party at a private home, an intimate dinner, or a pre-heat before the main event with one of his bands. He knows thousands of songs from memory, with most of the lyrics in his head too. He thinks playing music is the greatest job in the world, and he loves it.

Description

Ted Knight is a Florida musician leading bands for weddings and parties. From his keyboard-and-drums duo to a 20-piece big band, it's true live music with no recorded backgrounds. The World's Smallest Big Band has two horns, trumpet and sax. Add trombone and a second sax for Ted's orchestra, or still more horns for the Ted Knight Big Band. These groups can play pop and rock as well as jazz and standards. Then there's Crosswind, playing rock, reggae and greatest hits. Wedding ceremony music is also available, from classical standards to Beatles and classic rock played chamber music style. Ted doubles as a DJ, and plays iPod playlists on band breaks at no extra charge. A South Florida tradition since 1980, Knight Music is now available statewide and throughout the southeastern U.S.

"public & private events"

Posted on 5/10/2012 by An Eventective User from Palm Beach County
Have hired various of Ted's bands for public events, such as fundraisers or background mood music. Have also hired for my own parties at home. Always on time, plays the type of music requested and overall is very professional and worth the money.

"Perfect Wedding Music"

Posted on 8/7/2011 by An Eventective User from Jupiter, Florida
Mr.and Mrs. Knight were very timely, professional and courteous in all correspondence and handling of our daughter's wedding reception music. The music itself was beautiful and the band was very flexible in doing requests as well as the pre-selected pieces.
Mr. Knight did a wonderful job as the Master of Ceremonies, also.
I highly recommend Mr. Knight and his band for any musical occasion you may plan. You can rest assured he will take care of your musical entertainment with attention to detail and wonderful sounds.

"Our Favorite Band for Six Years !"

Posted on 5/27/2011 by LMSEJS from Boca Grande, Florida
We discovered A Little Knight Music six years ago when we booked them for our yacht club Commodores' Ball. The music was fantastic both for dancing and listening. Ted Knight is a pleasure to work with and a true professional. We have asked them to play for us every year since. Our Commodores'Ball is considered by many to be the best party of the season in large part because of the great music. We have already booked A Little Knight Music for 2012. We enthusiactically recommend them !
Management Response:
We love to play for the Boca Grande yacht club members. They are great dancers and a lot of fun, and they really appreciate our jazz group for cocktails. We're looking forward to their next ball!

"Great Wedding Band!"

Posted on 5/11/2011 by An Eventective User from Islamorada, Florida
Ted was great! We wanted a very eclectic mix of music and the band and Ted as DJ delivered. They learned a new song just for our first dance. In addition to the reception, they preformed for our ceremony. They learned another new song for the bride's walk and it was beautiful. All of our guests were impressed with Ted and the guys. They are very talented musicians.
Management Response:
The new song was "Better Together" by Jack Johnson, from Hawaii. My daughter had told me about him (she lived in Hawaii until recently) and after I learned the song I could see why he is so popular. Thanks for turning me on to it. Another request was "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley. I played it on my iPod on a band break and loved it. I'll be adding it to our book of band arrangements. What a great wedding and a beautiful beachfront venue.
