Description
Please listen to live samples of my latinjazz trio to determine whether our music would be appropriate for your event or celebration. I think it probably is, since our music could go both ways: it can be as mellow or as lively as needed or wanted, and isn't boring due to the Latin rhythms. And additionally, since we're using hand percussions (bongos, congas, shakers, etc.) instead of a drum set, we take very little space and have total control over the volume.
For a more mellow music we perform mostly bolerojazz and bachatajazz; and for more lively music we do more salsajazz and merenguejazz. (My Myspace and Youtube page has live demonstrations of each style.)
We purposely created our demos from "live recordings" (meaning: recordings done without computerized corrections) with all the chats, noises and imperfections of a live performance, so you get to experience the group in a real, actual "live" setting: what you hear is what you'll get.
We play both Latin and American cover tunes, but add a Latin flavor to the American ones to make them more interesting and special.
I'm a full time musician, a Berklee graduate and leader and guitar player of this instrumental Latin ensemble that varies from a trio to a sextet (sometimes also a duo without percussion).
The instrumentation for the trio is: Spanish-electric guitar, keyboard (who also does the bass) and hand percussion. And for larger ensembles more percussion and a separate bass are added.
Our prices are reasonable and affordable as possible and we're always willing to consider the available budget.
If you like what you hear but have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you very much, and I hope we provide something you could work with.
Rod.
