Joslyn Castle was the most memorable site for our daughter's wedding and reception this September, 2013. From our first visit with Emily Lasky, the event planner, to numerous phone calls and emails, through to the end of the reception, Emily was so positive, cooperative, and professional. Her attitude was always to try to honor the couple's requests. Since the bride and groom came from out of town, Emily, the catering coordinator, and photographer met with them for over two hours to confirm and clarify all details. The friendly crew at the Castle set up the outdoor seating and the inside table arrangements exactly as was instructed. We were even allowed to pick up our personal decorations, flowers, and equipment the next morning.
Visually, the wedding was perfect! The weather was incredible. The grounds were green and the fall flowers were bright and blooming. The Castle was rich and warm with historic details. All the rooms on the main floor were arranged for people to be seated or stand at cocktail tables, while the jazz trio performed on the stage of the music hall. Toasts were given at the top of the ornate spiral staircase while guests were listening below in the massive central hall, which adjoined the solarium and the formal dining room, where the buffet was served. Docents offered tours of the first two floors for those who wanted to learn more about the Joslyn family and prestigious home. We could not be more pleased with our unforgettable day at Joslyn Castle. The Mother of the Bride
