I recently attended a small wedding here a few months ago for my friend Lisa. The surrounding greenery is breathtaking. With a classic, 1800's styled interior, it made for a very classy venue that simply glowed. The bridal pictures were taken near the curved staircase that lead to the upstairs, lending a vintage feel to the bridesmaids and setting in general. While setting up for the wedding, the caretakers of the mansion were a huge help in draping the garlands and tiding up the messes that we made as we went. The Orangerie, where we had the reception was beautifully lavish with windows everywhere, allowing us to view the sunset with the happy new couple. Lisa had rented a bedroom in order to get ready. The bedroom in which they furnished her was ready and waiting for her with all of her necessities an hour before she needed it to prepare.
For a larger wedding, it would be possible to hold it in the pebble court behind the Mansion. That area holds up to 125 people, compared to our smaller venue of 35 people. Another interesting thing that the mansion offers is carriage rides. My friend Lisa took advantage of that and rode off into the sunset in a carriage with her new husband! How romantic. In my opinion, the Bartow-Pell Mansion is the perfect place to hold your dream wedding.
