Gallery M Squared/The Heights Theater Events Venue is located in the Historic Houston Heights. If you are looking for a unique venue to hold a special event, then your search is over. The Heights Theater was built in 1928 by the Wygant family who ran the theater until the building was destroyed by fire in 1969. The building was a sanctuary for individuals seeking to suspend their disbelief for a few hours back in the day, and today the space filled with art by some of Americas most notable talents.
Gallery M Squared/The Heights Theater Events Venue has ample room for your evening’s festivities. Approximately 3,500 sq ft (useable space) for you and your guests to mingle, dine, or dance the night away. As a room only venue, we take great pride in allowing individuals creative freedoms when it comes to their special event. Amenities include, Neon Lights (turned on at dusk), Marquee (to announce your event), Two 3’ X 2’ Poster Boxes (you provide the posters), Caterers Preparation Area with Alley Access, A Green Room, Digital Projector with Projection Wall (you provide the DVD), Multiple Stage Areas (for bands or DJ’s), and A Small Grass Lot for Off Street Parking or Additional Event Space.
There are no catering restrictions so use your favorite chef or restaurant to create a menu for your invited guests. Outside alcohol is permitted. All tables and chairs must be obtained from an outside source. Please see vendors list.
Room rates are for a 5-hour event, and an additional 3 hours is allowed for set up and cleaning. Additional hours may be obtained.
Art works located in the upper reaches of the venue will not be removed, however art works located on the movable gallery walls may be removed for a fee.
