The Stimson-Green Mansion, once the home of two prominent Seattle families, the Stimsons (1901-1914) and the Greens (1914-1974). Now beautifully restored, the Mansion is available for private business and social gatherings. Stimson-Green Mansion has become expert at celebrating life’s grand occasions. Three steps up from the front entry hall, behind paneled pocket doors, is the formal dining room. With its gleaming light sycamore paneling, exquisite Italian art glass tiled fireplace, hand-painted mural, and massive mahogany dining suite, this is one of the most elegant hospitality spaces in Seattle. The masterfully created and beautifully presented buffets of Executive Chef Dan Keller are shown off to great advantage in this unique setting.

This gorgeous and historic mansion is truly a unique venue being that it is located in the heart of a unique and fun city. The flexibility and amenities this venue provides makes the process of planning a wedding very easy. You can have an intimate wedding that is either indoors or outdoors. You can have both the ceremony and the reception at the mansion. There are spacious changing rooms. The caterer is on site and has a lot of menu options that are also customizable. They host open houses once in awhile, which are worth it if you are curious. The only drawback is there is no dance floor, so we had to rent flooring. Overall though the venue was perfect!

"Storybook Wedding Reception"

My husband and I were married five years ago at the historic Stimson Mansion in Seattle's first hill neighborhood and it was not only a perfect day, but a perfect wedding and reception. The English Tudor style Stimson-Green Mansion was built in 1899 and is designated as a local historic landmark building. It is impeccably preserved and architecturally stunning making our wedding feel like a storybook style step back in time.

The setting at the mansion is quite simply amazing, with rich wood paneling, multiple fireplaces and dazzling chandeliers hanging in each room. It was fantastic to have an array of elegant dressing rooms available for the bridal party upstairs, and the full staircase provided a picture prefect backdrop for my princess bride entrance into the ceremony.

Working with the staff was a simple pleasure, with each proving us not only expertise, but plenty of patience and understanding as guest lists and menu's changed during the course of planning. The mansion does book up well in advance, so you do have to make sure to plan ahead but it is well worth the wait. Our guests are still raving about how wonderful the wedding was, in fact, my best friend is getting married there next year. Can't say enough good things about the place.
